Best hex staff is sunset staff also, if you want to cast sorcerers, miracle, and hexes you can use the black witches staff which casts all three. Mainly a utility weapon though. This lists all of them, the Witchtree branch also seems to be pretty good for sorcery.

Also, since hexes use dark, the dark element goes up between INT and Faith. When you raise the lower stat of the two, your dark element attack goes up.
