WebNov 9, 2024 · Maximum volumetric speed (MVS) is hardly theoretical. Your E3D V6 hotend has an advertised throughput of about 15mm^3/s. In practice, this tends to be a bit optimistic. 11.5mm^³/s is a safer number. The viscosity of the filament reduces this further with most PETG limiting the V6 to 8mm^3/s or less.

If you’re looking for it to be clear.. there’s a few write ups on doing that..but tl;dr you go REALLY slow with 0% fan. I use a ton of overture PETG and usually print at 255 (first layer) and 250 with fans at 100% after layer 2 and the bed at 80. printing “clear” PETG (printables link)
