In “Reunited,” Steven sings that he essentially needs the wedding as a distraction, because he can’t stand thinking about who he is or the situation he’s in. WebI like the idea that Steven is traumatized from his bad experiences in the original series, but the way this concept was handled was poor. Whoever wrote it must've not done their research. You cannot heal years of emotional trauma and stress with a hug. Who exactly approved that ending? And half the characters disappear into the background.
